No problem here, use Claranet for mail and news via BTBB only 9.99 per year or 29.99 if you want binaries. That £9.99 p/a option does not exist anymore iirc. It's still on their site and linked from the BT broadband site. Got the URL by any chance? http://www.uk.clara.net/btbroadband/ Cheers -- CB Why not use BT's news and mail servers? They're not /that/ bad !! Steve You don't get them with BT Broadband, only with BT Openworld broadband. 2 totally separate products. -- Mugwump To reply, replace INVALID with pipex{dot}com |

| steve said: "Why not use BT's news and mail servers? They're not /that/ bad !!" ------ indeed, i`ve been using ISDN BTopenworld, and had no problems whatsoever with their service apart from minor slowdowns in peak time, and the odd server maintenence which would happen with any ISP from time to time. people slag them off cuz it's BT and are biased. 2 other points to point out.... i`m a bt employee (subsidery group) but i`d have no problem in getting NTL broadband, non BT ISP, or non BT products. secondly, to save running around in circles, i will look into other ISP's , as others sugested, on the condition they have either 1 month contracts, or ideally a free trial. -- tim if i wanted to hear from an asshole, i`d fart! |
