Hi Folks (Again)

Ok, can someone advise if they have been through this

Having ISDN, and getting BT or Plusnet (or any other that offer this)
converting the ISDN to ADSL.

After the exchange has just been enabled.

Anyone done this conversion, (Instead of cancelling there ISDN), if so

what
length of time did it take... ie 7 days etc...

I had this done, using A&A as the ISP. Lead time was about 10 days,
when it was actually done it took about 1 hour.

For a "normal" ADSL installation, BT/your ISP gives you a date but
you can be enabled 1/2 days early if BT do the work at the exchange
earlier (as no engineer bvist is required to your house)

For a HH--ADSL conversion, BT/your ISP will give you the date that
the engineer will come round to your house, disconnect HH and
test/install ADSL for you.

If you are ordering the HH--ADSL conversion before your exchange is
ready for ADSL BT normally arrange appointments for around 10 days
after the "go live" date..

The only way for it to be sooner is if the engineer turns up days
early... (unlikely)

Regards
Sunil

OOih, it does happen occasionally you know (after doing one 7 days
early last Friday)....

As I said, it was about 10 days from order to completion. The
engineer took about 1 hour to do the job. Until the engineer
arrived ISDN was working, 1 hour later when he left ADSL
was working.
