Default ADSL Modem for a Linksys BEFSR41 Router

"Andrew Moore" wrote in message
I recently bought a Linksys BEFSR41 Router and need an Ethernet ADSL Modem
to connect to it.

I will be running 2 PCs with Win XP and 1 X-box through the setup.

Can anyone advise the best modem?

So far I have only found :-

D-Link 300G+ --- (reported to have compatiblity problems with all Linksys

Netgear DM602 --- (I cannot find find any info on compatiblity with any
make/models of router (maybe that is a good sign))

ADSLNation X-Modem --- (reported to have compatiblity problems with

make/models of router including Linksys)

3Com Home Connect --- (Discontinued product, plus I cannot find any

compatiblity info)

I find it really hard to believe that Linksys DO NOT make a model of ADSL
Ethernet modem compatible with their own Routers !!!

Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm using the same router with a Zoom X4 modem and haven't experienced
any problems. The modem is also marked as being compatible with the X-box
which I'm also using with no problems (sometimes there might be a bit of lag
but I think thats par for the course).
