| Can anyone suggest any that I can either upload via FTP software or via IE. You can sign up for an account at www.freeuk.com and get 25Mb of space. The only downside is you have to dial in to their service to upload files (I use PAYG at 1p/min), FTP is available. You also get unlimited email addresses which you can access online. Adam S |

| Hi, If your ISP doesn't give you some space you could try: http://monsite.voila.fr/produit/boot/accueil.shtml You can upload .zip files from IE - and they are automatically decompacted. Slight(?) snag - the site is in France/French. But you don't need to have them as your ISP. |

| And the UK equivalent of my previous posting is at: http://www.freeserve.com/sitebuilder...nk=channelMenu You probably want to use 'FTP my site'.... (freeserve(UK) and voila(FR) are both owned by France Telecom) |

Can anyone suggest any that I can either upload via FTP software or via IE. The 50 MB space at http://www.free.prohosting.com seems OK -- works with an FTP client, and via their website. The front page says "no banner ads", but that's only partly true: during the sign-up, you're given the option of a small one-off payment to have it without. (You can also put the banners in a pop-up rather than on your own page. I don't use the space very much, so the banners don't bother me.) -- Cheers, Harvey For e-mail, change harvey to whhvs. |
