Default Charity needs Speedtouch 330 modem

Church installing broadband into its office - and is looking for a
Speedtouch 330 modem (as supplied by Pipex). Has anyone got one which
they now do not need and would be prepared to donate/sell?
I would be very happy to hear from you.

Most established denominations are an 'excepted' or 'exempted' charity so
there's no need to register with Charity Commissioners. Individual
parishes/congregations may register, but they don't have to in order to
enjoy charitable status like exemption from corporation tax etc. But they
are still subject to charity laws and have to produce an account ('Financial
Statement') each year to the parent body (diocese, conference, synod etc).
Independent church or Christian group not part of a large denomination
probably has to register individually.
To OT: sorry I had a SpeedTouch modem but have sold on ebay. If you don't
get one donated, try bidding there - most go for 25-30.

The fee paying school where my wife works is a charity. "Charities" don't
need donations as they have wealthy sources of income.

There is also a password autoresponder but, unless this a very
old message, a "tuna" will swim right through. )

As note of interest, I was once told that there is a very thick book
published for Churches which lists all the place where they can get
discounts etc.
