![]() ok, so i need a filter before every thing that connects to phone line? (dky, telephone and fax) how much do theese filters cost? You usually get one or two with your ADSL modem these tend to be very poor quality, there are loads of suppliers. Personally I use the ones from www.adslnation.co.uk they are, in my opinion the best available but also quite expensive - about 8.99 each. you need one for every phone outlet |

Strictly you don't need a filter for the ADSL modem, though filters are often built into splitter adaptors that provide outputs for both ADSL modems and standard phone equipment. In this case, the ADSL output is connected straight through without any filtering. If you only want to connect your ADSL modem (i.e. no phone) to a particular extension outlet, you can plug it straight in. Filters vary in price from a few quid upwards, depending on where you buy them. Rod. |
