I have just got B/B with Tiscali. My problem is that I have the (safely
remove hardware ) icon in my system tray. If I click it will remove the
modem. Is this normal or what. I dont think this should be there?????Thx

Sounds normal to me for a USB modem (which I assume it is).

Steve is correct, this is normal for any USB device that is installed on
your pc. It is for when you have USB devices which are removeable ie.
digital cameras, removeable media etc. If you were to "accidently" press
this, it would not do any harm at all. Just either unplug the device and
replug it in or reboot.
