Default PlusNet release 2Mbps for £31.99 per month!

The good news:

PlusNet Broadband Home 2Mbps £31.99 per month

The bad news:

Its capped to 1GB per month

Now let me see, at full 220kBps download speed I can download for -------

-----wait for it ------

1 hour 15 minutes PER MONTH!!!!! LOL

What the hell is the point of a 2Mbps connection capped at 1GB per month????

Its obviously aimed at the one or two emails a week plus a 'bit of texting'
brigade - is it so you can get them 'just that little bit quicker' ???

I reckon I use over 3GB per month on my 56k dialup!

Not much.

It just allows them to publish a rock bottom price for the connection.
Add another £7 and it becomes unlimited.

Hi Dave,

The 2M account at £31.99 comes with 4GB per month. Also, if you want to
use more bandwidth then you can go for the premier option which is
£39.99 with no cap.

Regards,

Thanks for clarifying that Josh, there seem to be many Chinese whisper
variations on the news release.
What is the contention ratio for this product? I cannot see any mention of
it on your website.

Thanks

Dave

The 2Mb product is still 20:1. When BT finally release a 50:1 2Mb
product we will also roll this out.

kind regards

Do you mean there will be a 2M product based on 50:1 for less than £31.99
or that you will drop the users on 20:1 to the 50:1 service?

This is getting me all confused now!
If this is 20:1 then I cannot see any difference between this new uncapped
2M Home Premium at 38.99 and their existing Homeworker Pro 2M at 65.99.
Presumably the Homeworker Pro 2M is now discontinued as I cannot see anyone
in their right mind paying 27 quid more for the same product!

There again if it will be 50:1 in the future they will have to charge a
downgrade fee as the change is done at the exchange by BT.

I think PlusNet now have too many conflicting packages and prices which only
serves to confuse

Dave
