Default Weird Speedtouch problem ....

Can you borrow a different modem/router from a friend and test that?
Similarly can you test your router on another connection? It will tell
you if your router is at fault or if there is some kind of routing
problem somewhere.

If you have any antivirus/firewall/spyware filtering program which will
be affecting your Internet connection then turn it off. Run your computer
with nothing open (kill everything through ctrl+atl+del) and see if you
get the problem. If you kill things one by one whilst testing and it
clears up at some stage then you'll know the culprit.

Other things include updating the firmware on your router (or reflashing
the latest version if you are up to date.

If only i could find the files on the net ...... ?

The retailer from which the device was purchased should provide support
and firmware. I don't see any on speedtouch.com (I didn't dig deep
though) probably because different countries have different firmware.

Googling for "Speedtouch 570 firmware" (without the quotes) showed up uk
firmware on dslsource.co.uk he
