Default Plusnet Lite Packages

Looking at the plusnet website this morning i noticed that if new
users were sigining up to the 'Lite' packages that they cant select
how much data they want to pre pay in advance, it seems that once your
a customer you have the option to upgrade/downgrade accounts.

Oh christ another PN fanboy, FFS just runalong PN have been doing that for
a while.
Many people have left PN due to the cockup with the metered pipe thing, and
it looks at this moment in time Supanet have done a similar thing to their
users, but worse... and are limiting people that use their service to
download more then 800mb, to crap speeds, again users dont seem very
happy..... When will these clown ISPs that claim their service is
"unlimited" learn?

Probably about the same time the leechers realise the service isn't
unmetered :-)

Oh so in other words their claims of "unlimited" are lies then

What begins??? To be fair to Supanet they have stated once the new pipes
are in and up and running the service will revert back to what it was
advertised as.

Let me just make this clear im not a fan of any isp i have just
recently joined plusnet and i choose an isp that is suitable to my
needs. My personal opinion is that when people are sigining up it
would have been nice if new users were able to choose how much
bandwidth they want instead of having to sign up first in order to do
so.

In that case then you may as well say, Wanadoo, Virgin, Pipex, Tiscali and
virtually all ISPs suit peoples needs as with all of them you have a choice
of a capped services and also a choice with the last 3 of an unlimited
service, they all AFAIK also allow the purchase of extra bandwidth if you
go over your original monthly amount, JUST LIKE PN do.

Maybe so, but PN have other services such as Web space with CGI and
frontpage and others. One of the reasons I went for them.

All very well and good, but the topic here is of types of capped (lite)
services that are offered, also although it may not be as much, wanadoo and
pipex (not sure on virgin and tiscali) also give you free web space, there
are also other smaller companies around like xifos that give as much web
space (250mb) as PN, the frontpage thing offered is basically pointless for
most.
