Default Zen - 8mb service any time?

Does anyone know if Zen will be doing an 8mb service like other ISPs?

The 8Mbps service is a dual issue.

It can be done via unbundling exchanges (Zen is currently trialling it
on an exchange in Greater Manchester) or via the BT Wholesale 8Mbps
product. So it depends on when BT roll it out and whether BT can
actually support the product with adequate backhaul.

So if it's available then Zen should start selling it. Eclipse are
already stating that their 8Mbps product is going to happen.

So what, Plusnet have been talking about it for a very
looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, just because an ISP
talks about & indeed already has some sad people paying for their 'free
upgrade', doesn't mean it's going to happen soon.

depends on BT. Or the LLU providers PusNet have signed up to piggyback
on.

I can't see anything happening BT wise before next summer anyway. Just
like the first jump to 1Mbps it will get pushed back over and over
again.
