Default Contention

As the amount of Internet traffic contunues to increase, as on the
roads, motorways, railways and airlines, contention is, and will
continue to be, the ultimate bottleneck.

Don't waste your time complaining about the particular way in which it
affects YOU - there's nothing you can do about it.

One Internet provider, in the medium and long term, is no better than
another. They all suffer from a common overloaded infrastructure.

A rather incomplete observation. ISPs differ in:

a) amount of bandwidth between them and BT
b) amount of bandwidth between them and the Internet
c) customer service

Yes, there will be a bottleneck at the customer/BT interface, but that
varies according to load. A sweeping statement that all ISPs are the
same is wildly inaccurate.
