blueyonder users have received SPAM in their email boxes from their own
ISP 'blueyonder'
This happened before, and users asked to be removed from this SPAM list,
they were reassured that if they choose to opt out, then their request wud
be honoured, ie: no SPAM from blueyonder, and third party agents actin on
blueyonders behalf.

This has proven to be not so...
Users have once again received SPAM.
This has bin met with angry complaints from their customers,

Ironically, the SPAM managed to get through the Anti SPAM filtering system
blueyonder use, 'Spamhaus' This system is designed to block this kind of
SPAM from reachin their customers mailboxes in the first place, and when
introduced was met with complaints that it was blockin wanted 'SPAM' such
as Yahoogroups'
It has bin suggested that this particular SPAM from blueyonder has bin
manually allowed to get through this Anti SPAM system 'Double Standards'

Users have logged an official complaint to blueyonder. (I just hope it
isn't met with last years reponse "click on the un-subscribe link on the
bottom of the email, and you will be removed from the list)

)

Congratulations, you can copy & paste. But as per my earlier post - you
obviously don't know how to interpret the information.

Why not copy and paste the listings for your own ISP ? "Slightly" more than
5 listings I note. ;o)

Yes, I would!

Is it to do with users reportin the mass spammin to their customers, to
spamcop?

Not necessarily. It's likely that people have reported "blueyonder"
because they've been sent spam by one of "by's" customers. Whether that
customer /knows/ they've sent spam or not, is another matter as it could
be from a 'zombied' MS Windows machine. (FYI: A 'zombied machine is a MS
Windows PC which is secretly under the control of attackers, these botnets
are used to infect other MS Windows machines to churn out spam. "Worms"
are used that scour the web for machines suffering one of many widely
known vulnerabilities in MS Windows software. They are /very/ unlikely to
affect users with other operating systems, like linux.)

To date, it would seem that blueyonder has done nothing about cleaning
those issues up. So, as more people get spammed, more report them.
Eventually, /if/ they continue to do nothing, blueyonder could end up
being blacklisted at SPEWS. http://www.spews.org/

I'm not clued up on these things.

HTH :-)

You're several months behind on that. Spews has had the range
82.32.0.0/12 (82.32.0.0-82.47.255.255) blocked for quite a few months
now.

URL:http://spews.org/ask.cgi?S3198 is the page showing their listing,
and URL:http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/1/hi/technology/4528927.stm
is the BBC news article about them getting blocked.
