Default Blaster worm patch don't work !

Hi, I posted about the Blaster worm that keeps crashing my pc yesterday. But
today i find i can't load the microsoft windows patch to fix it. I keep
getting the following error

"Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure
Cryptographic service is running on this computer."

Does anyone know whats going on ?

Then manually start the Cryptographic server. Sorted.

It's a nasty little **** of a worm that got activated tonight.
Basically
causes your PC to crash and reboot from a remote signal when
you're online.

Just found out how to get rid of it:

And there's now a removal tool available from Symantec he

Just found out how to get rid of it:

1 - First find and kill the process with Task Manager
(Ctrl-Shift-Esc).

2 - Then Start-Run... "regedit" and search for "msblast". Should get
you to
he HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

3- You should see a "windows auto update" key as mentioned in the
above
link,
delete the key.

4- Finally, search for "msblast.exe" on your system drive and delete
it.

5 - Reboot.

fixes are here
