Default ADSL Modem for a Linksys BEFSR41 Router

Andrew Moore wrote:

I recently bought a Linksys BEFSR41 Router and need an Ethernet ADSL Modem
to connect to it.

I will be running 2 PCs with Win XP and 1 X-box through the setup.

Can anyone advise the best modem?

So far I have only found :-

D-Link 300G+ --- (reported to have compatiblity problems with all Linksys
Routers)

Netgear DM602 --- (I cannot find find any info on compatiblity with any
make/models of router (maybe that is a good sign))

ADSLNation X-Modem --- (reported to have compatiblity problems with
several make/models of router including Linksys)

3Com Home Connect --- (Discontinued product, plus I cannot find any
specific compatiblity info)

I find it really hard to believe that Linksys DO NOT make a model of ADSL
Ethernet modem compatible with their own Routers !!!

Thanks in advance

there shouldnt be any "compatibility" problems, the adsl modem offers its IP
to the router, the router uses it, provides nat onto your network.
