It's interesting to see that compaints are now becoming centred on
data rates and reliability.

It all comes back to "contention". Traffic volume. The source of ALL
problems.

You are all fighting each other.

It's a waste of time getting your line checked or reformatting your
hard drive.

I have two MaxDSL 20:1 lines. If I run a big download on one and let the
Windows dialogue report steady throughput, then start another download on
the other line, the average speed on the first line immediately starts to
fall. Stop the second download and the first rises again. Absolutely
repeatable and on a large London exchange reputed to have eight DSLAMs.
However many downloads I try the cumulative of the two connections won't
reach more than 9 Megabits/second and then only at 5am.

Entanet in case anyone asks.
