Default WG311T - No Icon in System Tray

I have installed a NetGear WG311T Wireless PCI Adaptor (I have Win 98SE),
everything went according to instructions.
The card's LEDs are blinking alternately indicating looking for a
connection.

However, the Wireless Assistant program will not run and there is no Icon
showing in the System Tray to show status and to access the settings.
The card's LEDs are blinking alternately indicating looking for a
connection.

Any ideas?

TIA

Jerry
