Has anybody had any issues with Virgin with regards to newshosting
downloads?

I have been limited to less than 20kbps for the last 3 days 24/7. I
dont consider myself to be a huge downloader, about 25GB a month so I
am not too happy about this.

I know that it is not newshosting, it has to be Virgin. Anyway, I was
just wondering if anybody else in the Liverpool area has been hit hard
this weekend and also, am I right in thinking that it should be full
speed off peak, this doesnt seem to be the case for me.

Sounds like customers should tell them where to stick their accounts
with their damned throttling.

I had to laugh when I heard that they're bringin out 20MB in June.
I know what you're gonna say...
"They can't supply the bloody 10 they sell as it is!!"

Not aware of any issues, but feel free to drop me some more details
(please include your account number) and I shall get someone to look
into this further.

Do we know what/if they are throttling?
Is it account based or data type based?

There seems to be absolutely no information on their websites
(conveniently eh?)

Same here, except i only download at most 5GB a month,
so it ain't a download issue

So as you have been told endlessly for months that thousands of
Virgin BB users are throttled daytime to late evening including
myself for no good reason, and you still say you don't know
of any issues

Thanks, your posting has made my mind up to leave ASAP

Stupid of me to think Virgin could be anything other than
image strong, substance weak.
I'm so ashamed of myself

Don't know wether you saw my posting under the heading of 'Virgin broadband
service even less reliable than NTL was'about my mate who gets 4M during
the
day and 100k in evening.

It would be nice if someone could actually answer if it is a problem on
London - Walworth exchange or if he is being throttled.

He is at
