Default MTU Settings Location

In article , Geoff Lane says...
Recently I posted a thread asking about MTU and how to alter it.

I was given two references as follows;
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283165
http://www.pctools.com/guides/registry/detail/280/

The microsoft gives a data location of Ndiswan\Parameters\Protocols\0
whereas the PC Tools page gives a location of Services\Tcpip\Parameters\
Interfaces\[Adapter ID]

Not sure what the ndiswan settings refer to so which is the one I should
tweak.

They're completely and utterly irrelevent. You need to be changing the
MTU on your ADSL Modem router, not the PC's NIC.
