Default BT Broadband Talk

Is this offering actually a SIP connection or something BT dreamed up?

If it *is* real SIP, then how does one call the number free from a non
home hub SIP phone?

TIA

Wrong.

You do however need to know the public IP address of the homehub, but
then it is not difficult to setup dyndns / noip etc. to match a static
hostname with the dynamic IP.

You then can call up where 4456xxxxxxxx
is the international format of your BT BBT number and aa.bb.cc.dd is
the IP of the homehub.

This works great for me.
