| A small home network of 3 XP computers on a ADSL router. Want to file and printer share amongst them. All 3 PC's can see each other and show in View Workgroup Computers. One of the 3 computers however will not permit it's files or the attached printer to be shared. That PC can access files on the other 2 PC's but when they try to access it's files an error message about permissions etc. & contact network administrator occurs. All 3 PC's are ok on web page access. Any ideas? TIA |

I am not sure about Avast but if you search through its settings can you see anything that refers to Trusted............if there is a section you need to install the ip addresses of the other 2 computers into each computers settings. Comp A has B & C ip address, Comp B has A & C and Comp C has A & B's. don't forget a reboot cures 'it still does not work'. dj |
