Bodincus has brought this to us :
Jono:
Any Asterisk brainiacs around?

-- Accepting UNAUTHENTICATED call from xxx.xx.xxx.xxx:
requested format = alaw,
requested prefs =

(alaw|gsm|g729|ulaw|g726|lpc10|slin|adpcm|speex|il bc),
actual format = alaw,
host prefs = (),
priority = caller

-- Executing [[email protected]:1] GotoIf("IAX2/IAX-11917", "0?s-ZapGroup2|1")
in new stack
-- Executing [[email protected]:2] AGI("IAX2/IAX-11917",
"selintra|CheckState|") in new stack
-- Launched AGI Script /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin/selintra

??? What is that? No trace of that in my * 1.4 installs from a trixbox, that
looks like SARK. Am I right?
The problem lies here, but as it originates from that AGI script, and AFAICS
relates specifically to SARK, you might want to check in that direction
instead.

Yes, well spotted. SARK it is.

-- AGI Script Executing Application: (Dial) Options: (/s|YES|t)

The "selintra" script here is calling the * Dial() function with missing /
wrong type params. That /s is missing the type of channel (SIP, IAX, ZAP,
etc)

Apparently, the DiD is missing....

[Nov 9 20:11:14] WARNING[7230]: channel.c:3025 ast_request: No channel
type registered for ''

In fact * doesn't know what type of channel to create.
[Nov 9 20:11:14] WARNING[7230]: app_dial.c:1183 dial_exec_full: Unable to
create channel of type '' (cause 66 - Channel not implemented)

Again as above
[Nov 9 20:11:14] WARNING[7230]: app_dial.c:1291 dial_exec_full: Invalid
timeout specified: 'YES'

Again, the param is wrong (YES), it should be a number.
The last param, "t" is correct, it means the call can be transferred.
-- AGI Script Executing Application: (Playback) Options: (silence/1)

The rest of the script does other things, but both * and the AGI script are
now totally confused, and it gets ugly.
-- IAX2/IAX-11917 Playing 'silence/1' (language 'en')
[Nov 9 20:11:14] NOTICE[7230]: chan_iax2.c:3420 iax2_read: I should never
be called!

Like here...
-- AGI Script Executing Application: (Voicemail) Options: (s|u)
[Nov 9 20:11:15] WARNING[7230]: app_voicemail.c:2862 leave_voicemail: No
entry in voicemail config file for 's'

...or here.
-- AGI Script selintra completed, returning 0
-- Sent into invalid extension 's' in context 'extensions' on
IAX2/IAX-11917

And here!
-- Executing [[email protected]:1] PlayTones("IAX2/IAX-11917", "congestion")
in new stack
-- Executing [[email protected]:2] Hangup("IAX2/IAX-11917", "") in new stack
== Spawn extension (extensions, i, 2) exited non-zero on 'IAX2/IAX-11917'
-- Executing [[email protected]:1] Hangup("IAX2/IAX-11917", "") in new stack
== Spawn extension (extensions, h, 1) exited non-zero on 'IAX2/IAX-11917'
-- Hungup 'IAX2/IAX-11917'

At least, a clean hangup.

But the problem is not *, it's the "selintra" script Dial()ling with messed
up params.

If you give me a place / address where I can send you something, I have the
last o'Reilly book on Asterisk 1.4 in PDF. A reading worth every minute of
it, if you're serious with VoIP.

Good luck

Ta.
