To people who know nothing, anything is possible.
To people who know too much, it is a sad fact
that they know how little is really possible -
and how hard it is to achieve it.

Tele-sales is becoming less effective as the punters get spear shy and apply
my policy of "never buy anything over the phone when they ring you" after
getting burnt by Shop Direct or similar on an upgrade back in the 1990's.

People are also increasingly buying or at least researching telecom services
online.

In Talk Talk's case of course knowledge of their standards of customer
service and adherence to agreements is becoming well know (e.g. through this
group and via "Don't get done get Dom'"), so a typical conversation goes
like this: -

TT tubbie - "would you like to save by moving from BT to TT"
Me - "No!"

Prediction - Talk Talk will be renamed within a year. This is what happens
when brands acquire negative value.

Perhaps we should 'help' them by suggesting new names ...

How about Baulk Baulk? Or perhaps Bork Bork?
