Default Great Service from Plusnet yet again

I posted about a speed problem I was having,
on the Plusnet Forum at 9.23 this morning

Within 24 minutes at 9.47 a member of the
Plusnet staff posted to say they'd done the
necessary tweaking to my connection and had
restored my speed

Which they had.

I don't really think such a standard of service
could really be improved on, even if you were
paying 500 a month.

To people who know nothing, anything is possible.
To people who know too much, it is a sad fact
that they know how little is really possible -
and how hard it is to achieve it.

Actually if you read back through James' posts on this group he seems
pretty genuine. But then you are both newbies... you seem to hate Zen
as well, and you've complained about BT, who _do_ you like?

Nope this is 100% on the level.

You can check the timing of the posts on the Plusnet forum for yourself

thread title

"Satisfactory router stats and IP profile - very low speed and BT test results"

I don't know how many customers Plusnet serves, presumably it's in the tens
if not hundreds of thousands. But in my experience of service industries
in general, this speed of response - problems being solved within 20 minutes -
by any supplier is really astonishing.

More especially given the technical nature of the product being supplied
with so many things which might potentially go wrong. And this from one of
the most competitive suppliers on the market.

The fact that Plusnet can maintain this level of support also seems to
suggest that their service must be pretty reliable overall. Otherwise
they would face a stark choice - by either permanently tying up hundreds of
support staff in sorting out endless problems, or just ignoring support
calls for as long as possible.

Get a room!

I'm rather fortunate to work with an 'online reputation management
company' and one of their current projects is to 'improve the profile of
Plusnet' because some internal stat show that customers think they suck.

It's funny how these things manifest themselves. Usenet, forum posts etc
but these are easily nulled out by responding to them everywhere you find
them and expressing the actual view of Plusnet from real people who have
left them. It's the best way to deal with companies that try to hoodwink
the public by paying companies to 'improve their profiles'.

On of their bitches is Martin Lewis of Money Saving Expert fame. I don't
know how much they paid him to big them up, or if they just dropped to
their knees and sucked the **** off.

In the context of this group, all that is needed is for readers to search
the archives for Plusnet problems. I suspect for every 1 customer who has
said something good, you'll find a dozen saying how **** they are.

You missed a couple. I've also slated AAISP and Virgin Media too. Virgin
is a favorite bitch of mine because they use self employed gangs of
Gypsies to install services into peoples homes.

Bless you for the n00b stab Andy. When you get a bit more experience
you'll be able to read usenet headers & clues like mine and trace them
way back into the mid 90's, but hey I appreciate that you don't have the
same level of experience as me yet.
