Default BT killing off Broadband Talk

Is this so that if you get your broadband from another provider they can't
give you a Voip phone to make all your calls on and take call revenue from
BT?

you can run any VOIP service over any ADSL/IP line

Ineptocracy

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to
lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the
members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are
rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a
diminishing number of producers.

BT are ceasing their own service. They are not preventing use of other
services.

Indeed.

But are they prevening the supply of built in Voip by other providers
installed by Openreach.

NO it's because they weren't getting enough revenue from the product.
Add to that the later updated routers don't have the facility built in
(whether that is deliberately or not is a mute point the real deal is
that they are cheaper despite the protestations that it's the best
wifi router round, which is at best questionable)

You can go to any VOIP company and set up your own service (may have
to furttle a little with the stupid routers firewall but that's all)

Is that another way of saying that BBT isn't available from Openreach any
more?

How many routers do Openreach install for end users, anyway? A very round
number, I should think.

Do other providers have kit, other than a VDSL modem for FTTC,
installed by Openreach these days?
