Default Sky email & Broadband problems

Hi
Anyone else having sky problems
Email server keeps closing the connection as does the web server with
messages like your imap server has closed the connection and for
broadband the server unexpectedly closed the connection
This has been going on since the teamed up with Yahoo on 5th April.

When I call their systems are down so they can't help out but their
engineers are working on it !!

I host a websit and have been unable to updat since 5th

I ready to jump ship, any recommendations?

www.kitz.co.uk will show you how ISP's are rated.

Your problem is that you have an email address tied to your broadband
supplier, which is never good idea.

There are plenty of good reasons for jumping ship, but it could be
argued yours is not such a good reason because you will lose your sky
email anyway.

Plusnet for broadband.

Get your own domain for email and websites and put it on a proper
hosting site. It cost (not much) more, but will be worth it if it's
important to you.

almost anyone BUT sky, tiscali, virgin DSL, for broadband...

which would allow you to sidestep the ISPs mail systems anyway, which
seems to be your original problem.

even gmail works in this context.

Yeah, I never use ISP provided email addresses and tell all my family to
do the same. They don't always listen, mind...

Wrong. Sky allow ex-users to keep and access their email forever.

Or at least until they realise that they could be raising revenue by
charging to retain access to it, and change their corporate minds.
