Default False voicemail notifications on Csip Simple

I have a Sipgate account and as well as accessing it at home using a Cisco ATA attached to my router I also access it using Csip Simple on a Motorola Moto E Android mobile phone.

The problem is that on the mobile phone I keep getting voicemail notifications implying that I have a Sipgate voicemail message but I actually never get any voicemail messages on Sipgate, these are all false alarms and I'm wondering if anyone can advise me how to prevent them?

Question: are you allowed to use one account on more than once source?
Do you turn the ATA off when you are using your mobile access - surely
that will confuse the system?

If your actions are permitted then raise it with Sipgate - they are
surprisingly responsive.

AFAIK Sipgate stopped sending the 'voicemail notification' flag via SIP some time ago -- I queried it as my red message-waiting light didn't.

Therefore I suspect that your Csip is misinterpreting some other SIP command as message-waiting.

I use Zoiper with 2 SIPgate accounts and it's fairly reliable.

I use both CsipSimple and Sipdroid and whilst I find the latter easier
to use and set up, the former will often work where, for some unknown
reason, the latter won't.

I have no indication problems with either.

I tried both of those before deciding on Zoiper!

I like Csip Simple because you can turn it on and off at will whereas I seem to remember Zoiper was harder to turn off.

Re my original problem, I've stopped it being able to send any notifications at all so that's cured it!
