I've had the same four @btinternet.com email addresses for something
like 15 to 20 years but changed ISP to Sky Broadband about a month ago.

I always thought that, as long as you logged into the email account at
least once every 90 days, it would remain open for *receiving*, even
though you wouldn't be able to send or reply.

No email has come into any of the four accounts for three days now and
that is extremely unusual. The Outlook client polls the accounts as
normal and seems to complete as normal, ie, no requests to confirm
username or password and no error messages.

Is there some problem with BT email at the moment or does it look like
BT have closed the accounts and don't honour the 90-day thing anymore?

Probably Yahoo broken down again. (BT email uses Yahoo). It will right
itself eventually.

By @btopenworld address (which I think is the same as @btinternet) has
been working for years too - Yahoo permitting.

If you are no longer a BT customer or paying for 'Premium Mail' at
7.50/m to retain your email address it will be deleted.

They did also start to use Critical Path. Have they abandoned that?

They'll get deleted eventually if you don't pay for them, nothing to do
with logging in every 90 days. Just be aware.

BT have been reclaiming openworld addresses for business use. Are you
sure it still works?
