Get a VoIP service intended for use with a PABX and use Asterisk as the
basis of your PABX.

I don't know what A&A offers for that market.

Currently you have a centrex type system, rather than one for your own PABX.

You can use Asterisk on single extension type lines but it can have
difficulty if you try and use it on more than one at a time, and
basically that would be a work around for using the wrong type of
service in the first place.

It just works. I have used Asterisk with multiple A&A numbers for years.
They all register to the same account, and Asterisk delivers them to the
right places.
