| | Hi there by
Stuart Turrell
I would have to say i know quite a bit about computers, but networking is my
flaw!
Could you please help me out.
I have a network covering 2 buildings (at home).
In building one, there is my wireless router connected through wires to 1 pc
and my adsl modem.
The aerial connected to this is an external aerial allowing building 2 to
get the adsl signal.

Peter Crosland
I have been researching these and have not found what I want so constructive
suggestions would be welcome. I have found the CCTV camera that fits my
needs but it is not available in an IP version. Is anyone aware of a device
that takes the video camera output and adds the IP elements to it? This
would seem to be a most useful device.

not really sure what information you require in order to help, but i can't
seem to get the belkin card to find the netgear.
i originally had a usb version of the belkin installed on the laptop, but
took it back as it overheated.
i've clicked on wireless settings on the netgear settings, and have allowed

| | SNMP and external IP by
Dave J
Is there any way to use SNMP to acquire the external IP address of a NAT
router?
I'm after persuading my (homemade) dynamic dns client to function over the
NAT link, and short of abusing the system by auto-updating every five
minutes, or using an external host, I can't think of a way to do it.
The only thoughts I've had have been DHCP (apparently no good by my
reading anyhow) or SNMP.
