| | Port Forwarding Software based on packet content by
gbnews
Hi guys,
I'm trying to find some software that will allow me to port forward based
the content of the packet.
Basically. Connection comes in on port 80 at router, the router forwards
this to machine A on port 80. This is where I need the software to inspect
the packet, and if it has something like 'HTTP' in it then forward it to
machine B on port X, if it does not have 'HTTP' in the...

x-posted to alt.internet.p2p, uk.comp.home-networking
I have just bought a 3Com 3CRWE754G72 router. I have got it set up OK but
the connection keeps dropping. I have read half a dozen forums and I am
awaiting a response from the supplier (www.EBuyer.com) and also 3Com
themselves. Can anyone here share their experiences?
The router is set up to dish out IP addresses via DHCP, and NAT is...

Bob J
Hi,
I'm hoping somebody can help me to close port 80 on my D-link 604+ router.
Basically on the "advanced filtering and firewall" menu I have created a new
rule but am unable to figure out what I need to enter into the various
boxes. I obviously know that I need to close port 80 and that the protocol
is TCP but I'm unsure what I need to put for source and destination IP and
subnet mask...

Good day,
I have a request (with me being a newbie at Wi-Fi). My wife has just picked
up a new laptop from school which is an Acer TravelMate 293ELCi and has
inbuilt wireless networking (802.11b / g) and want to know how I can it to
network with my desktop (my desktop does not yet have a wireless card as I
also ask which would be a good one ) so that she can back-up here files,

| | IIS vs Apache...???? by
gerry
IIS in Windows XP or Apache Web Server?
I want to set up a web server, but which is the best one, and why?
I want to run three separate web sites from the same computer. I have been
told IIS is easiest to set up, but would I be better using Apache? I want
reliability the most... Can Apache run multiple websites and how easy is it
to set this up?
Thank you.

| | DG834G acting strangly? by
Scampi
Hi there,
I've been monitoring my wifi network traffic after moving (looking for
people trying to access my network etc) and I've noticed some strange
behaviour.
Using LinkFerret, I can see that my router regularly (every second or
so) broadcasts a ARP packet for the IP address 192.168.0.3, an address
that is usually associated with a PC on my network that's currently
switched off. Also, after...
