Have one PC on an ISDN line and two more connected by crossover cable.
Want to network all three and be ready with wireless for adding a laptop
in
the future. NO BBand yet but remain hopeful.
Is there any (wireless) router that will provide the ISDN and be ready for
ADSL?

Many Thanks - good advice.
Have you seen any performance increase with a Router over a USB ADSL

The actual line speed won't increases but the USB modem draws heavily
on system resources. A router doesn't so the machine it's connected to
will more than likely run a...

Folks,
I'm on BT Broadband. I've got two computers, one at home and one a laptop.
I'd like the option to download my BT email from my computer at home. I've
already got a mydns domain set-up for ftp server access, so would like some
sort of email server also.
I've got cygwin installed, so a unix mail server may do the job.
Basically the home computer will collect my BT mail and hold it on a...

However, for the last week or two - my siginal strength has dropped to "Very
Low" with the reported speed dropping to as low as 1MB (mainly in the

I've got two laptops and a router all running 802.11g (g mode only, not

amazed and disappointed to see that the network is only running at a max of
20% capacity and sometimes single...

My desktop has Win 98SE and my laptop Win XP.
Does this give me a problem mixing the two systems?
Also could anyone give me a reference to a detailed article on connecting

Any ideas that may help me get my network fully up and running?
I'm using an NTL Broadband connection through the Set Top Box.
This connection goes to a Belkin 4-Port Router (F5D5230-4).
Straight through cables then go my 2 PCs. I have absolutely no
problem getting the internet on both PCs but I'm beggared if
I can get the PCs to share files (and believe me, I've tried all
sorts).
I must assume...
