If your ISP supports IMAP e-mail access then you are good to go.... this stores your e-mail folders on the mail server so they can be synchronised/accessed/seen from multiple PCs. Setup OE to use the IMAP server not the POP3 server. If you can't do IMAP then I don't know how.... ;-( With Outlook (not OE) you can setup an Outlook server for the network.

AOL Broadband and home networking with a broadband router by What The!!!
I have a friend who is getting AOL broadband on a couple of weeks, Apparently he has been told by AOL tech Supp, that you cannot use a broadband router with AOL. My friend wants to do this as he has 2 pc's in the house, and is understandably miffed at this. Can anyone offer any advice please . BTW I have a 'normal' ISP that doesn't interfere with my pc like AOL does, and set up a home network...

Win XP pro and Win2000 by Mr. Nangla
Hey, How am I able to network these to PCs? The set-up I want is the Win2000 PC accessing the interent through the XP, and file sharing. The Network set-up Wizard doesn't work on Win2000 and both on the same workgroup. I've tried clicking on 'obtain IP address automatically' and also manually configuration: Win XP pro = 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.0

routing - method by Geoff Lane
Currently I have a 56k modem feeding a small network, both wired and wireless. For internet access a Linux machine connects and using NAT my other computers can access the internet via my Linux connection (I find this easier than via Windows). Many enthisiasts I speak with tend to favour a Linux machine acting as a server rather than MS

At the moment I have a desktop PC, connected to my DSL, and wirelessly connected to that I have my laptop. Im wanting to use some spare pc parts to make a router. Thing is, whats the best way to keep the wirelessness? I cant find any drivers for linux on the Belkin site. Am I just best binning the spare parts and getting a belkin wireless DSL router (meaning I can upgrade to 54g too)? TIA

802.11g 54g PCI cards in Deskpro EN by FuriousMelon
A tale of woe, but hopefully it will save others the hassle. Wanting to have 11g wireless on all my PCs, I bought an access point, a PCMCIA card, and Belkin PCI cards for my desktops, a couple of Compaq Deskpro 6300EN machines of 1998 vintage. Although the Belkin card is billed as working in any PCI slot, it wouldn't work in these. A call to Belkin support revealed that they are aware of a...
