Hello,
I want to set up a VPN on my home network so that when I am at work I can
link to my home network as though I was there. I have BT ADSL 500 and my
comps connect via a D-link DSL504 Router. I obviously need to set up one of
my pc to accept connections from the internet, but how do I do this. I'm
abit of a novice. Is the software that does this built into XP pro and or
Win2k Advanced...

I have BT Home highway ISDN and would like to share this connection with a
laptop, preferably via a wireless connection. I believe I need an ISDN
router to start with.

Hi folks!
Can someone ou there please help .... 1 PC upstairs & 3 PC's downstairs, all

Hi all
I am looking for help with a networking prob.
I have just tried to set up a pentium 166 running 98 networked to an
athlon2200 running XP.
I am using ethernet pci cards from dolphin , the cards are detected and
working fine , but on the athlon machine it is saying that the network cable
is unplugged??? It isnt unplugged and is connected to both cards on both
comps.

a Netgear DG814 router. My son always has a room full of his friends and
farting around on the internet chatrooms with Windows Messenger. I can never
seem to get rid of all these people.
Is it possible for me to disconnect him from the net with my pc also
connected to the router.

Devices from different mfgrs which are manufactured to the same standard
should in theory work together. But most people don't recommend mixing
manufacturers. Imagine if you have a problem with the connection and need
technical support or try to make good on a warranty - one company is going
to blame the other's product.

Search for cantenna. This is more directional than omini-directional but it
will give you a starting point.
To change the AP from internal antenna to external you would need a pigtail
and some cable to attach between the cable (LNR-400) and the aerial.
