After a failed firmware upgrade, I am now left with a router which
won't boot! Does anyone know if there are places where I can get the
firware reflashed or is there any way I can recover this myself?
TIA
cheers,

Hi,
Sorry for the cross post, and slightly off topic, but does anyone use
Logmein with ZoneAlarm (under XP) on the destination / remote pc?
I'm currently using this service and I have found that if I try and open
the ZoneAlarm application window I lose control over the mouse & keyboard
on the remote pc. Logmein works fine with ZA running, it's just that I

I've been looking at the Buffalo network attached storage device with
installed Linux OS.
The model I am looking at included a USB printer server as well as a USB
(I assume that makes 2) soccket to allow an extra external hard drive for
expansion.
If anyone has experience of this device I am wondering; is it a DHCP
server issuing its own IP addresses and also, if a USB hub is plugged in
to the...

I have a simple LAN with three PCs.
One day I notice that PC 2 can sometimes access the network and
sometimes cannot. When it can, it an only connect to PC3
PC1 can see PC3, PC3 can see PC2.
I run the network wizard loads of times and check whatever I can find
to check. Loads of reboots just to be sure as when setting up the LAN
found that reboots "helped". Also repaired the LAN connection on...

Hi
For some time now, I've been using a Netgear DG834G wireless router to
connect my family to the Internet. It has worked perfectly and I've had no
real problems. However, more recently, I started to realise that this
router was quite limited in what it could achieve, for example, no QoS,
which would be very helpful on a shared Internet connection. About a month
ago, I brought a Linksys WRT54GL...

sid.epou@googlemail.com
Hi everybody,
I am planning to build a small WiFi part of my LAN.
There is an old desktop PC running SuSE, acting as a router, and it is
the one I would like to connect the USB WiFi NIC to.
I need a few questions answered before buing any NIC:
1. Is it possible to implement NAT on wireless card? So that it would
play as AP?
2. What kind of NIC would you recommend? The main requirement is that

| | Can you switch off the firewall on the DG384G? by
StarEye
Hello,
I'm running into a configuration problem. I have a DG384G and I
received a certain number of pubblic IP addresses from my provider.
I switched off the NAT and assigned fixed IP addresses to my servers.
No matter what I change on the configurations, the servers, on the LAN
side, are unreachable from the outside (they are not even pingable).
Still the outbound traffic of going ok.
