The computer is running Windows XP. Does anyone know how to override or change the existing MAC address to a new one? I aonly need to change the last number from 7 to 8 and that should do the trick. This is required due to...

Troubleshooting NIC-to-device connection by bobrics@gmail.com
Hi, I have a rather simple question. On a network card there are two LED's representing the existance of a link and internet activity. I am troubleshooting my network. More precise, there's a device which is misbehaving so I am trying to identify the problem. When I connect to internet while NOT using a device - 1st LED is always green and constant. The 2nd LED is blinking. So I assume the...

This morning when he left for work it was still ok but when he returned it had dropped the connection, I have checked all the pc connections and they are okay. Is Welfare Part of Capitalism? by prejudiceexterminator@yahoo.com
This article is dedicated to: A man I met, with most of his body heavily burned, simply because he was a Chinese during the 1998 May Riot in Indonesia. Lots of capitalists that are slaughtered during the cultural evolution. Ten thousands of peaceful smugglers that are massacred in Banda island by the Dutch for conducting peaceful spice trade and all that are similar to them. All minority groups...

Signal Strength Issue by Steve C
Hi Folks, I recently purchased a Linksys WAG354G I have a house of modern(ish) construction (circa 1984) but it does have that nasty double skinned plasterboard with the aluminium foil stuff within the interior walls - which seemed to give me grief before when I used my Buffalo wireless router. (At least I think this stuff is partly to blame)

usb network adaptor dongle by Paulie
hi, If I fitted a wireless 802.11g USB network adaptor dongle to my PC and one to my laptop would this be sufficient to form a wireless network? This is my first attempt at networking and am trying to learn as best I can. I think I understand the principle of a router, and the need to have a Ethernet modem to connect to it and then any other device with wifi built in or network USB dongle...

BT Voyager 240 ADSL Router VPN compatability by gdale88771@yahoo.co.uk
I have problem with BT Voyager 240 ADSL router which does not work with my ATTN VPN software. During authentication sequence there ends in error related to timeout/firewall. I have tried DMZ, disabling IP filtering/NAT and any other firewall you can imagine but I still cannot make the ATT VPN software work with this router. Apart from VPN compatibility issue the router appears OK and the VPN

I have an Epson C900 colour laser on one PC, when I print to it from a networked PC it takes ages just to be able to select it. We are using safecom cards which are very good though. Will decent aerial(s) get round this poor reception? I also need to propogate the signal to our annexe which about 40 feet from the main building.

Hi, 1. Anyone know of dealers for these products in London (apart from SEG)? 2. Just how good are they compared to the cheaper models from Linksys/Belkin etc. I'm asking as the SEG website says their forums are not for asking such questions (if they are even operational)and there seems to be a
