I have two computers called PC and Laptop. I want a LAN connection between the two. Both are running XP Pro SP1. I have a crossover cable connected. The PC has a shared drive M: and the Laptop has a drive F:. On the PC, I have run the Network Setup Wizard and have established a connection to the Laptop and using my PC I can download and pull off files on the laptop F: drive. So far so good.

hi got an adsl network with a laptop on wirless and a desktop wired into an adsl modem/router, both work on the net but wont see each other in network places, both running a firewall have tried turning them off, is it because one is wired and the other is using an access point or am I wrong, if so how do I get them to see each other. Well I have gone over to NTL Broadband after years of dial-up. My second comp is an old Pentium II PB box running 98SE but it works well enough for my needs.
