| | Which ADSL router for static subnet? by
Stroller
Hi there,
Can anyone recommend the best router for use with a small subnet of
globally addressable IPs, please? The office has a number of desktop
PCs which want to be NATted but there are two webservers and I'd like
to have requests on port 80 forwarded to the appropriate machine.
I know that with many routers I could allocate incoming packets on port
81 to the second webserver, but since...

| | Netgear ME102 in 'AP client' mode. Can I connect multiple clients to the ME102? by
Jason Arthurs
I have an existing ME102 802.11b access point and have just bought a
cheap second ME102 to use in AP Client mode. I intended to use it to
connect up an old legacy machine which only has wired ethernet but I
was wondering, in AP Client mode can I plug a hub/switch into the
ME102 and have it route data from a second LAN?
Can't find anything firm in the limited documentation I've found so
far and I...

| | Help with wireless by
Kroma
Hi,
I currently have a Speedtouch 510 ADSL router and have just bought a house
with my girlfriend and was planning to add her computer to the network by
simply linking it to the router with another cable.
However, as it would mean drilling holes in ceilings etc and the potential
for disaster on the household front I've decided to add a wireless access
point...

| | Variable I/P address by
Paul Aitman
Hi All,
Most people seem to want and crave a static I/P address, however, for
various reasons (none of them iffy honest) I need a variable one which
will change with some degree of frequency.
I am not sure whether this can be achieved either by say rebooting an
ADSL modem daily, or maybe there are still some ISPs out there who do
dynamic I/P allocation. I know AOL used to be the ubiquitous...

| | DrayTek Vigor 2600 Multi-Nat/DMZ/VLAN Question by
Lee
Hi,
I'm getting broadband with multiple static public IPs, and I'm thinking
of getting a Vigor 2600 to go with this. Can I do the following with a
2600?
(a) I want to run 3 private subnets (say 192.168.0.0/24, 192.168.1.0/24
and 192.168.2.0/24) using the VLAN functionality. My aim is to
segregate 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24 addresses, but allow both
access to the Internet and...

| | Belkin F5D7630-4A ADSL Modem with Wireless Router - problems by

I am having problems with my wireless router. On occasion the
connection between the PC and the wireless router keeps dropping and I
lose my connection. This seems to be more prevelant when two computers
are using the network (in many cases when this happens one computer
keeps losing the connection while the other is fine). I have tried
numerous settings within the router settings but with no...

Hi, I have two neighbors that have wifi g/b (for email, it kills me)
that have said it would be ok if I mooched off of them a bit (in case
your wondering, I am considering throwing in a few bucks a month if
this works). I already have DSL so I have decent speed already (buy can
you really have "enough" speed) but it would be sweet to use all of
these signals at once to create a really fat pipe...

PC2 connects wirelessly to the router.
The problem is with the file sharing. PC1 is able to see and use the shared

Do DVD rewriters that can be attached directly to a network exists, at a
reasonable price?
Alternatively an adaptor that permits a USB DVD rewriter to be si attached.
My ideal device would be an adaptor that will enable both a DVD writer and a
disk to be attached to a network.
Pointers would be welcome.
