I am trying to get the computers in my home network to coommunicate. My Win98 and Win2000 machines are communicating and exchange files but neither of them can see my WinXP machine. My WinXP machine can't see any of the other machines either. We are in the process of setting up a network ready to go broadband. This is between a Mac and a PC with a Belkin router/modem. The Mac is talking to the router with no problems, but when we try to access the management page of the router we can't. Does anyone know why? Just bought NetgearDG834G Firewall Router. I have NIS 2004 Pro. Following the instructions, I have got as far as plugging it in and turning on the pc. When I boot up, NAV is disabled but NIS is ok.
