Plusnet portal and IE7 by Beck
Has anyone managed to get the Plusnet website to work okay with IE7? Whenever I log in, I get the menus down the left and right of the page as normal, but nothing in the middle. So the pages are blank. I have to use Opera to view it.

Netgear DG834G error statistics? by Ian Chard
Hi, Is there any way to get the Netgear DG834G to give you statistics for errors on the ADSL line? The closest I can get is doing an ifconfig in debug mode, which tells me there are no errors, but I'm not sure whether to trust it. Thanks - Ian

Broadband Limbo by Craig Waddington
Hi - any ideas/opinions on what to do in the following situation: I had my broadband ceased against my wishes as a result of a known problem in the LLU ordering system. Basically, I was with Hot Chilli. I ordered Bulldog, and then after realising my mistake, cancelled them shortly afterwards! On the proposed activation date, I lost connection to Hot Chilli at midnight. After a lot of...

BT Voyager 2091 by Desyfa
Hope someone can help. I've been reading quite a few posts, and think I'm in the same boat as a few other Voyager 2091 users. Right then. I was asked by a friend today to set up his BT Broadband connection in their home, to connect three pcs wirelessly. After connecting up one pc with the ethernet cable connected from the pc to the router and the DSL line connected from the router to the...

Out of morbid curiosity by Simon Ough
Just out of curiosity - what would be an alternative to this? 8MB Broadband - 2GB Limit* All 01/02 calls included Line rental With BT - £43.49 a month. * Seems that as long as you stay under 20GB a month and you don't take the **** you'll not be penalised. I hardly go over 4GB a month.

MaxDSL and noise margin by Chris
Having been unable to get broadband until MaxDSL was introduced because I am around 9Km from the exchange I was finally connected by Zen to their Home 250 service on MaxDSL this week. The connection has remained stable according to my experience and the Netgear DG834v2 statistics. (Downstream 606Kbps and Upstream 384). Marvellous for someone who has only had Dial-up 'til now. It is the...

Me and my mac key by grom-it
Does that sound like the start of a really old song or what... Any way on a slightly more serious note-: Currently in mid migration and my question is Are mac keys a once in a lifetime thing. Is my mac key going to be the same if i wanted to move again in 3 to 4 months, or have i to request, what will be a different numbered key, next time round . 'Should the need arise'.

ISDN, DSL and POTS: help needed please by M. Bayerer
Hello newsgroup, we are three enthusiasted electronics amateurs and we got that idea into our heads to build our own splitter box. I have a ISDN+ADSL connection at home. Based on that connection we would like to separate the a) DSL signal b) ISDN signal c) Analog telephone signal (POTS?) with an appropriate self-implemented hardware setup. Moving Home - I need best ISP advice by Mr Wiffy
Hi. I am moving home in a few weeks, and finally able to say goodbye to TalkTalk BB!! I need advice on the best ISP for speed and reliability for my new location. I can only get up to 2MB ADSL (no Cable) where I am going, so taking this restriction into account, what would you advise. I was previously with Pipex, and I have to say they were rock solid for reliability, and so much faster...

When will providers start offering ADSL Max? by Derek
Ive been waiting around two years now to improve my speed from the 1MB service I have now to at least 2MB. I was told by my provider that I couldnt have 2MB even though everyone else on this street gets it. (something strange)... Now we have ADSL Max and none of the ISPs seem to be offering it. Whats going on? BT say my line is good for 6MB now, but my ISP seems to be dragging their feet. ...

Time server addresses? by Alan J. Flavell
Prompted by the current discussion of time server (mis)use, most recently seen at: http://www.lightbluetouchpaper.org/2006/04/27/d-link-settles/ , I thought I would take a look at my own router's time server settings: I didn't recall being asked to configure it, and the ISP - which happens to be plusnet, but the question is a more general one - does not make any time server address...
