bornfree
I used to use Toucan Broadband/phone (whose service is absolutely
appalling by the way).
My account is £25.93 in credit.. . although I have no business with
them any more.
Has anyone had any success in getting money from a company which you
have credit with?

| | Broadband for £15 ... by
JC
... or less
I'm currently a Pipex user, 2Mb connection/15Gb download limit and I have
access to usenet. (I only read text groups) I've fairly limited needs and
Pipex have been fine so far with few niggles, main one being that sometimes
when watching streaming videos it stops to buffer. On a bad day this is
really annoying especially if I've paid for the stream. I pay Pipex
£14.99pm.

I have posted several times before as my speed was always almost 2mb.
Suddenly, in early February, it went down to 1mb and stayed there, or a lot
less, for about four weeks. Then, early March, I called Zen Support and
since which have spoken to them four more times. I have also called Belkin
support and spoken to them four times.
In all I have done the following: virus & spyware scanned my...

| | Fault in the exchange ? by
John
I've spent weeks chasing a problem to no result. Intermittently - when
the phone is in use, the broadband will drop / resync to very low rates.
Broadband overspill noise is heard on the phone during these episodes.
Doesn't sound like a line fault IMHO, as a quiet line test is QUIET most
of the time, and my sync speed and S/Noise margin are normally good.
Automated overnight line tests...

I admit, I do not have the technical know how to prove it one way or

However, now that I have been able to obtain a MAC code from these people
(they were amongs those who wouldn't until last month). Strange things
happened. It has stopped now, but as soon as I dared complain, and sign up
with a new provider, I was suddenly unable to...

| | What is Anti-Spam Filter.(thunderbird spam filter) by
zak07000
thunderbird spam filter,
Spam is unsolicited and unwanted email. Other common names of spam are
spam mail, bulk email or just junk mail. Today, spam has reached such
monumental proportions that almost every other message we receive is
spam. Protecting the inbox with anti-spam filter has become one of the
barest necessities for almost all PC users.
In a few words, anti-spam software helps detect...

A few days ago I ordered from adslnation an XTE-2005 faceplate to

First thing I noticed was that the cable I have been using is not
twisted pairs . It has been in situ for quite a number of years so
maybe twisted pairs were not necessary in those days or...

| | Pipex 2Mb - PlusNet 8Mb / 10 day stabilisation period by
JC
Will be moving very shortly from Pipex 2Mb to PlusNet 8Mb. (Eight days since
sign up) With regards to the 10 day stabilisation period I have read through
some old threads to determine what is the best process to attain the best
possible future speed.
The general concensus seemed to be just leave things alone and let the ISP
get on with it. However from the PlusnNet website:

It is starting to look as if BT's involvement in this was greater that

Chris Davies
I have a requirement for 3G/GPRS roaming across Western (mainland)
Europe. I don't particularly need 3G/GRPS connectivity within the UK.
If I use a UK provider such as Vodafone, it works out at around £7/MB.
Are there any better deals available (including options such as non-UK
contracts)?
FWIW, typical usage varies tremendously but should be no more than
1GB/month, but hopefully closer to...

Said third party company promise that they won't do anything with
