John Edgar
In October I migrated from BTYahoo to another supplier. I gave notice
to BTYahoo quite correctly and met all their minimum contract
requirements. All of this is written down in the form of emails from
BTYahoo to me at the time. This still does not stop them sending me
Direct Debit charges, at the end of October and again in November, for
a year's service, as though I had broken their contract...

| | Filter Sqeaks by
Gary D.
I have a broadband service through Virgin.net and have installed line
splitters/filters.
Sometimes, overnight (01:00-05:00) the filters beep as if somebody is
trying to use the line, although the phone doesn't actually ring.
This can repeat several times.
Is this likely to be caused by something happening at the exchange, or
what else may be causing this annoying feature?

| | Content filtering software / suggestions ? by
Colin Wilson
I`ve been asked if I know of any decent content filtering software for a
kids' PC - any suggestions ?
Cost probably won't be an issue, but free is always nice :-p
Personally, I think it'd be better in a public area so you could see what
they're up to, but I don't think that's an option.

Hey all,
Finally looking at an upgrade from my aging Nokia 6310i (which is still
a damn good phone, but I'm being lured by the likes of coloured screens
and half decent ring tones).
Presently I have a Nokia car kit fitted to my car (can't recall which
one, but its fully installed, mutes the radio, charges the phone blah blah).
Come January, I'll also be collecting my new car ( I wont bore...

An interesting fact is that the 150kbps service, actually has a

In anticipation of being able to receive broadband I have been looking
for a suitable router and the Netgear seems to fit the bill, however
reading the ADSLguide review of it, it seems that it does not support
SNR reporting. Is there another router in this class that would have
that feature.
