| | Time for routing change to take effect? by
Paul Hutchings
We have a /24 of PI space that's currently being routed to leased line A
from ISP A.
We're moving ISPs so have leased line B from ISP B in place and working
just fine with private IP's/NAT on the trusted side.
ISP B has been assigned with RIPE as the MNT object on the network block
though for now nothing else has changed as we're using the IP's on our
live connection.

Does their wireless box come with an encryption level of at least WPA?
I'm jumping the talktalk ship and need to know about the watery ISP. I

Cheers.

I have 4 sites hosted with 123-reg. They seem to be getting more and more
unreliable. I have asked elsewhere and Daily have been suggested

I have never come across them before. They seem good looking at the
website - has anyone here used them ? Comments?

When I called them years ago they were great.
When I called this morning I got through instantly but felt like throwing
the phone through the window in frustration. First attempt I could hardly
hear the guy, couldn't understand his accent and was then cut off after
giving all my details. Second attempt I kept connection, had to give all my
details again, couldn't understand the accent and he...

Pat
It has just taken me hours to find out that o2 blocks email messages with
the phrase "blogspot.com"
At least they do for me!
Without any warning message. They just don't get delivered.
They must employ a compulsory spam filter
Does anyone know why they do this?
Are they trying to hurt blogspot financially?
Seems pretty underhand?

DAB sounds worse than FM
About how much would a 1.5 Mbps T1 leased line cost per year?

The adoption of DAB was the most incompetent technical
decision ever made in the history of UK broadcasting:

I've just setup cable broadband for someone, with cable modem &

It's basically a wired network, using Linksys as junction box for
modem ethernet cable & printer (although the Wii uses wireless
network).

| | Low router throughputs (WAN-LAN) by
Rick Marks
I discovered recently that my VoIP router (SPA-3102) and its
predecessor (SPA-2100) can't route from WAN-LAN faster than about
7.5Mbps. The latter not helped by only having 10Mbps Ethernet
interfaces.
Looking at Tomshardware guide (search for the router charts) it seems
that quite a lot other plain routers, wired and wireless, don't fare
much better. By and large you seem to get what you pay...
