BT BB Voice and Grp3 Fax by TheDragon
Is the BT Broadband voice service good enough to use a fax machine on. Either in 9ks or 14.4k modes. I could just buy the fax and try it, but Argos might not take to kindly to me testing my line with their goods.

No exchange capacite left by David G
I have been trying to get a BB connection for some 7 weeks now and my ISP has arranged three appointments for BT to do a managed connection from ISDN to ADSL. Each time BT has failed to turn up giving the excuse that they could not fit in their schedule in spite of my ISP checking prior to the time. The third time was to have been today, but when they checked with BT it now appears that...

Carrot from NTL? by sdr@hotmail.com
I am moving to BT phone from NTL. Rang NTL to say I want to disconnect the Cable TV and BB (Set top box) and move to Sky+. Was told that they can supply me with Cable modem, free wiring and as a "new" customer, 3 months half price at whichever speed I want. On their 700k speed, this works out at £22ish per month. Is this a good offer or should I move to an ADSL ISP. Only problem I have is that...

help with BT Voyager 1010? by Geoff Cox
Hello, I have set up a friend's desktop with a BT USB Voyager 1010 by copying the SSID, encryption, channel etc etc settings taken from a laptop which connects to the Internet successfully via the BT 1250 router. But! Although the Voyager pannel indicates that it is "connected" and that the signal is "good", I cannot get onto the Internet using Internet Explorer.

Prog to measure data use? by RT
Anyone know of a program that will measure how much data I up & download over a month? I'm not on a capped service but my ISP has just offered a 1MB line rate with a 3GB cap limit for the same price I'm paying now on my uncapped 512k Just a thought, I use a router for my three pc's, would I have to install the prog on all three pc's and total the three? One pc is rarely used and another is...

Cable Broadband Question by Steve
Moving to Linlithgow soon, did a check on the exact Postcode and the Telewest and NTL sites say no digital services and no broadband. But samknows says yes Linlithgow HAS cable broadband. I look on the linked multimap and it shows the very next street as having cable. Is it so tied down to postcodes? Another thing is the house I'm moving to doesn't appear on the post code database, I just...

Plusnet usage allowance by du@hotmail.com
When you subscribe to a plusnet package with a monthly gigabyte allowance does this allow you to use peer to peer and newsgroups or do you have to subscribe to the premier packages to get peer to peer and newsgroups. If one does choose the lite package over the premier can you see how much data you have transferred since you have last been billied? Thanks in advance du.

BT 2Wire router by Linker3000
I have inherited a 'BT' 2Wire 1800 ADSL router left over from a 2Mbit upgrade (we used some decent kit instead!). The router is fine for home use and has a built-in Wireless Access Point. According to the 2Wire Web site all their 1800s have a 54Mbit Wireless Access Point but I can only connect at 11Mbit. Can anyone confirm the right spec? Does BT supply 'older' or 'knobbled' ones? Ta

Still can't connect by Bobby
Thanks to everyone who suggested things I should try to get my daughter's PC to connect to my home wireless network. But no success. :-( I have a Belkin wireless router/modem, serving three PCs - two desktops and a laptop. They're all running Windows XP (one vanilla, one SP1 and one SP2). Everything was fine until I had to re-install my daughter's desktop PC. Ever since I have been unable to...
