http://www.adsl4less.com/ by netspam@shic.co.uk
I wonder has anyone here been tempted to buy into their cheap £14.99/month (inc. VAT) service? Given that BT will be providing the infrastructure, and assuming I pay by credit card it doesn't look as if I would be risking much going with them. I would like (but don't strictly need) the static-IP... Any first hand experience with this crowd?

Watch cartoon Network on the Net by TheDragon
Is there any site that broadcast cartoon network or other similar cartoon channels on the net. Since they went Pay TV in the UK, the kids miss this channel. And I was wondering if it could be watched over the net, on a 1meg broadband link.

Static IP Block - Plus Net by barney
Just like to say, plus.net - good work on quickly assigning me a /29 BUT it would have been *really* nice if you'd given advanced notice before you switched me over. Something like: your new block has been allocated (blah blah blah) and will be activated at 12.01 pm 02 nov 2004.

Newbie Broadband Questions by Steve
Hi, Can anyone help? We intend changing our dialup for Broadband and are unsure about a couple of things. We have two phone lines, one which is dedicated to internet via dialup. I know that with broadband you can have voice and data on the same line so we may be getting rid of one of the lines. 1. Does the broadband connection have to be placed on the phone point where it enters the house or can...

Connection question by PeteIvy
Hi guys Had broadband with Central point for about six weeks now. Very very happy with it. But I was round a friends the other night and he was able to connect a hell of alot faster than me. When I turn on ym pc, I have to wait at least a minute before the little light on my modem stops winking at me. It can sometimes take up to five minutes to establish a connection. My mates computer does...

Windows XP & Broadband Speed by Jamie_Manic
Hi Just a few things that have always baffled me about my Broadband connection. I am on Pipex 1mb service and use a Speedstream 3060 modem. When connect to the net, how come I get a little 'bubble' message pop up from my Task Bar saying I have just connected at 2.8Mbps when I have a 1mb connection?

Bulldog DSL problems by Bowman
Lo all. Yet again my dsl service from Bulldog is not working. Three days and counting so far. When you check online they report 'no problems', yet my emails to them are instantly replied to with the standard 'We are currently receiving an unprecedented number of emails due to the recent network maintenance and unfortunately there will be delays in responding.' This is the second time in...

Problems installing Speedtouch 330 usb modem by Ed
Today, I should be up and running with my new Pipex Solo 500 broadband package, but I'm not. Several times over the last two days I have attempted to install and connect the Speedtouch 330 modem which was supplied by Pipex as part of my Solo 500 service. As instructed I first insert the Speedtouch CD and install the software. Next I connect the USB modem and filters.

Central Point by John Edgar
On the 22nd of October I switched from BTYahoo broadband to Central Point, and 3 days later my service failed, and I have had nothing from Central Point since. Not a dicky bird. They say that BT are investigating a fault. What can be going on here, as I do not believe the "fault" story? I have had BB service from BTYahoo with no problems for over a year. It all looks a bit too coincidental to...
