Hi, I have the 1 mb service and for some reason the speed test at Plusnet site shows "635.1 kbps" !!! This is way below what it was. Are there any faults that would cause this? tia. Stuart.

PlusNet or Zen by MrMagooba
Who would people advise between PlusNet and Zen, it's getting closer to ordering time. I was always going to go to PlusNet but am slowly drifting towards Zen, at only £1 extra a week for 1MB that PlusNet. Standard reasoning, newsgroups, uptime etc.... Thanks. --

AOL Broadband by Eelhouse
For £29.99 a month AOL provide 1Meg service with no capping. Apart from the cheesy HDD gobbling software does anyone know whether they operate port blocking of P2P apps or any other disadvantages / limitations ? Thanks for any feedback Eelhouse

OneTel Broadband Prob by Phil
I'm trying to help a friend set up a new computer to the internet, he has a OneTel broadband connection which works fine on his old machine but won't connect on his new machine. I've not been round yet so I don't know exactly what the problem is, but he's reasonably savvy and has set up the connection to the internet through a LAN as you normally would. Is there anything special that needs...

I thought little of it thinking i had receive an email notice per email account, but when i got 90 in 2 days i rang em up and got told to monitor it. Then i submitted a support ticket advising them this was SPAM. The response i got from some snivveling illiterate tech dude telling me...

Multiple PCs on BT Broadband Basic by John Antell
BT state that BT Broadband Basic (£19.99 per month) is not suitable for connecting multiple PCs and that for multiple PCs BT Broadband (£24.99 per month) is required. Does anyone know why this is? Will BT Broadband Basic not work with multiple PCs or is it just that it is not recommended in view of the 1Gb monthly usage allowance? John Antell

final questions (I hope) by Me
OK I'm about ready to sign up for broadband - final 2 questions: If I start with a 512k or 1MB service, with a cap, to test and see what it's like, do ISPs charge if I want to quickly upgrade? Is there a way of testing my phone line to see what speeds it's capable of - or is that not an issue? Cheers

BB: Download speed capped during working hours - Is this normal? by OwlService
Hi there, I have been delving into the wide world of BB, and found that the only service in my area actually caps download speeds to 512mbps during the day and then reverts to your main package (2mbps) evenings and weekends. Is this a normal occurance? This is waht they say: There are no monthly usage restrictions on HomeSurf options

New router wanted (possibly) by David Griffin
Hi All I currently have a Draytek 2600, I route a second subnet with this and use NAT for my networked PC's and have 2 webservers on the second subnet. I have read numerous how too's and even have a pdf file to follow but I cannot get the second subnet firewalled on the 2600. I have tried using the multinat option but then I cannot view my own servers as the router does not have local...
