Tesco Broadband communication by LiviLion
Hi, I filled in the online application for Tesco Broadband on Sunday and haven't had any communications back yet about anthing. I realise this can take up to two working weeks to be setup anyway so I'm perhaps jumping the gun a tad. I used the BT order tracking URL:

move mid contract? by James
My village is actually due to get adsl in January. Trouble is, Im likely to be moving in June... Do most providers still tie you to a 12 month contract? If so, do they have problems with you moving during the 12 months (wherever I went would need to have bb, the g/f says she can't go back to dialup when we move in together! James

Two modems on one line? by Neil Pearson
I've just received ADSL courtesy of the limits being removed, my pack arrived today from BT and everything is working fine on my main PC (download at 576, upload at 288). We also have a laptop, and I'm aware that I network these together wirelessly for around £100, but I also happen to have a spare ADSL modem kicking around which I'm positive will work on the laptop. I'm guessing I can't...

OT ish - Setting Email to send by sniper
Is there such a thing as a program that allows emails to be scheduled to be sent in the future? I have to be away for a few weeks and need various emails sending at different times during that period. Whilst I know I could use an internet café or even my phone (although there will be a time difference) I want to go on HOLIDAY and not have to worry about them! Is there any program - that will...

adsl router for VPN termination by Chris
I have a client who needs a stable router which preferably supports VPN termination from the default winxp vpn client (or will at least correctly pass through the incoming VPN to a separate server although it terminating the VPN would be better), they only have a single IP setup so all the hosts are NAT'ed was looking at a netgear DG834 or DG632 but have experience of the VPN pass-through side...

ntl sharing by steve church
Hi , Well I've just had NTL Broadband installed and connected to one computer via the ethernet port. I have bought a Mentor ADSL/Cable router to enable me to connect two PCs to the cable modem and share the broadband connection. What are the steps involved in this. Do I have to install the NTL installation softare on the other PC as well (which means connecting up the cable modem directly to the...

BT Broadband and Ethernet ADSL Modem by Gatecrasher
Currently have two PC connected by a crossover Cat5 cable with Win98SE. Internet connection is not shared and each PC has an external 56k modem connected to the same telephone line. Both PCs are also connected to the same HP printer, one through parallel and the other through usb. In order to reduce the number of wires I've ordered an SMC7004ABR router with print server and RS232 port for...

Speedstream 3060 Internal Modem by Dave

BT yahoo modem setting by Tony Stanley
My friend has moved to a new house with ADSL now instead of cable he had before with NTL. He purchased an account from BT Yahoo with a Speedtouch USB modem and was told he could run 10 PC from it (I guess by sharing the connection). But what he wanted was the same as he had set up before with the wireless router he still has. I tried my Ethernet modem, in the hope he could order one, but was...

Tesco BB settings by Not Me
Hey, Apparently today is my activation date, although I haven't received my welcome pack, I do already have a modem from my pipex days, so wondered if I could just create a new dialup connection* for tesco? If so, what's the number/username format/any other settings? If they're on the tesco website please let me know 'cos I can't find much on there at all!
