The engineer is at some point (hopefully) going to turn up at some point to remove my HH box, and install a standard faceplate for ADSL. I have failed on line-length to get 1Mbit. Just migrated from BT to Nildram. Although the order took 2-3 to process the actual migration lasted about 5 minutes - hours less than my worst fears. Hats off to the BT engineer that took the cable out of one sockect and stuck it in another. And thanks to Nildram I now have a fixed IP and can send mail from smtp that had become blocked as a blanket restriction imposed by BT.
