DECT Phones by Noel Bell
I remember some correspondence on this, or a similar newsgroup a while ago, about conflicts between certain DECT phones and ADSL. I'm considering buying a DECT phone, and just wondered if anyone knew of the existence of a list of those which have been proven to work. I've tried googling without success. Regards,

Error 633 by Midge
A week or so back, I'd finished using my broadband connection and was gonna disconnect it as normal but found the status icon in the system tray had disappeared - eventhough the connection was fully operational. So I just shut the machine down. Next time I started it up, I got an error 633 "the modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or not configured properly". Happened again last...

broadband modem . . . on all the time? by Peter Montgomery
Simple question - can you turn a broadband modem off? I dont like to leave anything on when Im not at home. Also - I have a burglar alarm system that is monitored thru the phone line - when you activate it a call is automaticaly made to the monitoring centre - and similarly if any alarm is activated. I have heard that these systems may not be compatible with broadband - so would it be ok if the...

HomeHighway by Patrick Ross
Hi Folks Any one experienced cancelling there isdn homehighway. ie paying a charge/fee for early termination. How long is the lead time to cancel it, and does a BT guy need to call out to remove box etc... The reason i am asking this is so i can cancel it now, and then apply for ADSL, on a normal line with Plusnet or Fast24.

Fast24 anyone? by Maximilian K.
Hmm. Under £20 *ex. VAT* you mean? No ***512*** kbit/sec service I'm aware of offers services for £20 inc.VAT. (though there may be cheaper 256 kbit/sec services but of course I don't consider 256 kbit/sec to be "broadband" just because most "broadband" content is streaming at 250-300 kbit/sec.) £27.99 for twice as much speed may be a reasonable price, but - "best value" usually comes with...
