I have a BT Voyager USB ADSL modem, which has served me surprisingly well
considering some of the things I've heard about it.
However... Just recently it's not being detected at startup (am running
W2K). If I unplug the modem and plug it back in then it detects it ok and
everything works...

As it'd be great to get a faster 2mb home adsl account, then just get the
spare ip's from another source and route it through an adsl router.
It's possible if you use tunnelling however you are buying into much...

| | Zyxel 650H DSL modem packet filter setting by
artw
I would like to set up Zyxel 650H DSL modem as a firewall. I want it
to prevent all PCs in the LAN, except for the Proxy server, to access
the Internet. That is, everyone must go through the Proxy server for
http access.
I started at Filter Set Configuration menu (Menu 21). Then I created
a new Filter Set #. Then I try to create a new rule with these
parameters:
Active=Y
Protocol=6

I'm getting BT Business 500 (not Plus) from work. The documentation says
that it is only suitable for multiple connections using ICS and one computer
has to be left switched on. I want to put a wireless network in. Is it
purely the fact that BT only supply USB modem that is the issue. If I
bought, for example, a Netgear DG824M and wireless PC cards it should all
work ???

| | Broadband via powerlines? by
Exit
Just seen an article on the local TV news (midlands) that the electricity
utility companies are fianlly getting into gear and will start offering
broadband via the power lines by plugging a box in.
Mate of mine lives out in the sticks and it would be ideal for him - anyone
know any more?
Cheers.

I am setting up a home network with the billion router BIPAC-640 AE
connecting to my NTL modem via ethernet. The modem itself is working
fine when connected individually to each PC but the PC's cannot seem
to connect through the router.
The configuration is as per instructions but its seems there is a
problem with the DHCP communication.
I have actually had the network working twice but all...

In order to install the card we downloaded from your website the

Correct - the additional bandwidth is only useable LAN side as your WAN
